This weave has two meanings.  The Welsh Fan in the middle representing Prosperity, and the Heart for Love.  It’s believed the residents will never want in a home where the Welsh Heart hangs.

A symbol of Love, this design is woven using a plait called Diamonds, which is a modern symbol of eternal love.  When the Heart of Diamonds is given or received it brings its assurance of bright,

Wedding Rings


For a very long time, our ancients recognized the Ring as completion of Self, Mind, and Spirit coming full circle.
When a couple has chosen to marry, they exchange wedding rings.  These rings, together, represent infinity.
Long may the marriage last!

In Flower Lore, The Rose stands for Pure Love and the
 Honeysuckle flowers represent Affection, Fidelity and Devotion.  The spray of wheat heads represent
 prosperity and fertility.

  Irish  Wedding Hearts

The Irish have long treasured many patterns to symbolize love and union.  This piece comes from an old quilt design.  The top portion represents a sheltering roof over the two hearts.  The roses symbolize the sweetness and beauty of two people joined in marriage.  The two interwoven hearts are the mystical symbol of two joined in Love

Scottish
Luckenbooth Wedding Heart

The Scottish Wedding Heart dates back to the 1700s when it was used as a Love Token.  When a young man proposed marriage, the heart would be presented to the young woman.  After the wedding the Scottish Wedding Heart was hung in the great room until the birth of the first child.  Then it was hung over the cradle to protect the infant from harm.

The name luckenbooth comes from the fact that they were sold from locked booths at the markets held around St. Giles Kirk in Edinburgh.

This design was created as a memento of two Loves joined together.  The Hearts, ancient
 symbols of Love, are placed to reflect each other.  The Rose .encircled by the Hearts represents their commitment to nurture and protect the Love that grows between them.

This Enchanted weaving was inspired by Celtic knot work.  The Celts were celebrated for their interlocking and intricate knot work and they used this skill to embellish the objects of their lives.

These Interlacing Hearts represent two loves coming together.  Wrapping together, joining together saying for all to see;
 “As I am committed to you, so you are committed to me.”
