Long ago in Wales young men used to carve love spoons as a courting favour.  This Simply Lovely Spoon symbolizes a heart for love, the wheat for fertility and the spoon represents prosperity.  Today they are tokens of affection and esteem for friends, lovers and family.

Hjarta
Swedish Christmas Heart

Hjarta, the Heart, is a symbol of Love and Peace.  Traditionally they were made of straw to hang on the Christmas tree.  Often they were made into a wreath of 4 hearts joined at the center with a straw rose,.  A little prayer was written  on a slip of paper requesting peace and love blessings for all the family, then it was hung on
the tree or on the wall year round.
